Recognized Members:

Allen Ross (Kosciusko, MS, EAA Member No. 18698). We would like to recognize club member/pilot Allen Ross for his contribution to the Young Eagles program.  In 1996, Young Eagles chairman Gen. Chuck Yeager challenged all Flight Leaders to fly at least 10 Young Eagles during each calendar year.  Allen Ross along with over 3,400 EAA members and partners reached their mark in 2002. At the end of the year Young Eagle Pilots had flown and registered more than 876,000 Young Eagles-including more than 115,000 in the year 2002 alone. They completed the initial goal to fly 1 million young people by the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers first flight. At that time Allen Ross had totalled 124 Young Eagle flights. Congratulations Allen!  For the current status of the Young Eagle program click here.

He started flying in 1996, held a student license since 1997, built a Challenger II in 2001, passed the Sport Pilot written exam in Feb 2005, and passed the Sport Pilot practical in May 2005 under FAA examiner Brad Stanback. Congratulations John!
